Growing Up is a Set of Choices

Menurutku, growing up is a set of choices.

Dahsyat memang.
Lalu, aku tumbuh jadi orang yang bagaimana ya?

I was scrolling my instagram timeline and I saw a friend of mine posted her unofficial graduation photo. What caught my attention wasn't the flowers she got, or her not-so-cute boomerang (pls forgive me), what caught my attention was how her appearance have changed that much since our high school.

For me, growing up is a set of choices. There are those who choose to grow as a silent one, or a modest one, a jet-set one, and so on. And growing up has one key point: friendship. The process of growing up starts when you're adult, when you start to choose with whom you make friends, and what kind of friend.

The paragraph above is the result of a set of contemplation (whtt...) I did in last few days. Some people in my office are going to the fancy restaurants or mall as a daily routine, and then they have their body like a walking-billboard with many brand tags are patched all over their body, but there're also those who are modest and humble, and grow up as a good influence for his/her surrounding--although he/she was a common person in high school.

Miraculous, isn't it?
After all, what kind of person I grow up into?
